The Elegant Window
(TEW) is a professional custom drapery studio owned and
operated by Amy Meinecke. TEW is located in Thomasville,
NC and services the Triad and the surrounding areas.
In 2000,
Amy established The Stitch Niche in Lincoln, NE.

After
moving “back home” with her husband and two children,
Amy re-established her business in Thomasville, NC, and
changed the business name to
The
Elegant Window
to better
reflect her specialty in couture drapery design.
Being the best at what you do requires continual
education in the art of drapery making and design. Amy
achieves this by attending professional conferences and
seminars, subscribing to trade journals and
participating as member of the WCAA (Window Coverings
Association of America).
Amy is the
founding member and current president of the WCAA High
Point chapter. She is also a member various local
business clubs that include the
Greensboro Merchants Association
and the
Kernersville Business Association. TEW was recently featured in the
professional trade journal Custom Home Furnishings.
